Tennessee Register's Association

To everyone in the association, I would like to tell you what an honor it is to serve as President of such a fine bunch of people.  When I was asked to do this, I told some of you I would as long it wasn't on election year, well guess what, it is during the election year.  Therefore, I'll be calling on you for help when needed.  I'm praying that I'll not have an opponent, as I'm sure we all are.

I first would like to thank Faye Stephens for remaining my Treasurer and Natalie Porter for taking on the job of Secretary.  Also a big thanks to Ed Pattat and Johnny Reed for being our COAT board members.  I will be sending out soon the committee chairs and members.

Everyone, mark your calendar for May 18th,19th and 20th.  This will be our Spring Meeting, at Pickwick Landing State Park Inn, here in Hardin County.  I'm very excited about ya'll coming to my beautiful part of the state.  The 18th will be a day for just travel and enjoy seeing everyone that comes early. That night I thought we could go eat at a well known place here in the county, Hagy's Catfish Hotel. The 19th will be a day to play golf/fish and hopefully either take a tour of some of our beautiful lake homes or tour Shiloh Military Park, which is also in our county.  That evening Progress and BIS will be hosting a River Boat Dinner Cruise on Pickwick Lake, this will serve as our banquet.  Then on the morning of the 20th we will have a good ole southern breakfast and our meeting.  I talked with Bob Schettler with CTAS, he said he would give us hours for just having our meeting, but as of right now we will not be having any classes.  By the way, did I say this will be the blue jeans and tee shirts meeting.  I just want everyone to come and take a long breath....................

I would like to wish all of you and your families a very "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year"!  We have all been blessed with so many wonderful things in life and also been touched by so many sweet souls such as our dear friend Shirley Fields.  Hold your families close, not only during this time of the year but all year long.  Bless each of you and take care until next time.

Sincerely,

Julie Gail Adkisson
